Battery powered folding bicycle by Brompton
What else to do with a folding bike that allows us to go around to discover life outside our house or car? How about integrating Formula One racing car technology into a folding bicycle.
Yup, that's right. That's what a bicycle company in UK - Brompton did. They basically integrated Formula One technology into their latest bike design to create an electric version of their best selling folding bicycle.
The Formula One technology is used to develop the bike's bespoke motor and powered by a battery that clips onto the front of the bike. A single charge of the battery can power the bicycle to run up to 50 miles and there is also a smartphone app that allows users to track their mileage.
"We've spent five years taking Williams Racing technology and integrating it into the Brompton," - CEO Will Butler-Adams.
With its lightweight and foldable frame, it will be appealing to the customers that commute to the city to work and at the same time look for safe places to keep their bicycles.
